Q1Are there different types of rubber?Open or CloseWe can adjust formulas to meet different needs, such as oil resistance, weather resistance, high temperature resistance, and chemical solvent resistance etc.
The common rubbers we use are NBR, EPDM, SBR, CR, SILICONE, VITON etc. -
Q2Are there different hardness of rubber?Open or CloseYes, the common hardness of the rubber is 70 Shore A.
The range of hardness Shore is from 15 shore A to 90 shore A which depends on different formulas, and the tolerance of hardness is +- 5. Higher number shows harder texture. -
Q3Are there different colors of rubber?Open or CloseYes, we have special formulas for different colors, but the material property will be worse than black one.
-
Q4What is the service life of rubber parts?Open or CloseWe will suggest material according to the using environment to prolong its service life. Using wrong material will accelerate its aging, hardening, or deforming.
-
Q5Is it usual that there is something white covering on the rubber parts?Open or CloseIt's called bloom. It's a kind of protection to slow down the outside impact on rubber parts.
-
Q6What's the difference between rubber solid and rubber sponge?Open or CloseThe texture of Rubber solid is more like eraser. And the rubber sponge is used for cushion and gap filler.
-
Q7What's the difference between rubber and silicone?Open or CloseBoth of them are elastic polymer. Silicone with simple ingredients can be used for food or medical industries, and it resists up to 300 ℃ temperature.
-
Q8What's the difference between rubber and plastic?Open or CloseRubber shows good resilience, and it won't melt or become soft at the high temperature. Rubber formula can be adjusted to meet different needs.
Most of the plastic doesn't have elasticity, but it can mix with fiber, talcum to increase its strength. Now we have plastic mixed with rubber polymer, which shows good resilience and strength. -
Q9How to tell rubber from plastic?Open or CloseWe suggest to analyze it by FTIR in the third-party laboratory. By measuring the specific gravity or flame test, we can roughly identify the material.
-
Q10Can rubber be recycled?Open or CloseRubber is a kind of thermosetting polymer, which can't be reproduce by melting. But it can be smashed and used as filler in some environmental products, like the ground of playground. Or it can be refined to get carbon as reinforcement in some eco-friendly rubber parts.
